I love this stuff!
Biotin is a water soluble B complex vitimin. It helps hair grow healthy and improves conditions of dry, scaly skin. I bought the GNC Hair Nail and Skin Blend for $10. I have short strait across bangs, which means I have to cut them every 2-3 weeks to keep them out of my eyes. After using Biotin for a couple of weeks, I had to cut them weekly. Downside: All hair grows faster, like your leg, armpits even your eye brows. I got so frustrated with having to shave my legs everyday and cut my bangs every week that I stopped taking the suppliment. However it this is something you can deal with by all means take it.

I’m going to be frank. I grew up in a football house, so I’ve been to many MANY football parties and there’s nothing that kills the mood faster than a girl who comes waaaaay over dressed. Meaning, tons of make up, and an out of place skimpiness to her style.
So here is a mini guide to looking good while not over-doing it while attending this years superbowl party. Remember you are there for a reason, to watch a football game not to distract the boys from it, wait for the commercials for that.
Excuse the pic, the lighting in my house was ideal for photobooth.

Make Up: The best bet is to go with something natural, long pretty natural lashes and a pretty game day glow. You don’t want to actually look like you are wearing much make up, because game day is low key.
Start off with priming your face with a moisturizer. Hit under your eyes with some concealer, I used Bare Minerals Well Rested. Follow with foundation my fave is Urban Decay’s Surreal Skin Cream to Powder.
Use a shimmery nude to cover your lids, I used a combo of Bare Minerals Vanilla Sugar and Queen Phyllis. Line eyes with a thin line of black. Curl lashes and cover with mascara etc etc you know the deal.
I used a shimmery blush and finished off with a mineral powder. There is your basic face, if you’re a Colts fan you can incorporate Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liner in Deviant or for Saint’s fans can use it in Baked.
Hair: Go with a messy pony tail or some loose waves, nothing overdone. For a fun ponytail tease your crown and sides super big. Brush down and put inti a ponytail, letting your short layers fall around your face. and Voila. done in like 3 minutes.

Strawberry Koi
Strawberry Koi has an amazing array of vintage hair and make up tutorials. Not to mention she is absolutly adorable. She also has an easy tutorial on how to get an marcel wave instead of having to mess around with a curling iron. Check it out on youtube.
The marcel wave will be coming back so make sure to try it!!! If I could do it I would, but I have itty bitty bangs.

I figured that the worst of it was last night. It sounded almost like I lived under a waterfall. But this morning there was the biggest bolt of lightening ever! It woke me up it was so bright! Followed by deafening thunder! I live in California! I usually get excited when there are storms but now it’s just gotten out of hand.
The point I’m getting to is that not only does rain make you uncomfortable, but it also makes it harder to look presentable. So here are my top 5 hair solutions for rainy days.
5. Braids.
Thank goodness these came back right when it got stormy. The very very good thing about braids, is that everyone can do them and they’re easy enough to do throughout the day. Meaning once your insode you can take it out and have pretty waves.

4. Messy Buns
This takes a little bit of work but it’ll look good all day, plus if any of it starts coming apart later in the day, you just stick more bobby pins into it. I did a tutorial earlier last month here.

3. Twisting
So easy! Everyone can do it so long as they dont secure the twists with mini butterfly clips, thats sooo 1996.

2. The Holly Gologhtly
You already know it works when it rains, so why not. Plus its classic and easy. Tease the crown higher than you’d like so you can tame it down to the shape you want and secure at your occipital with bobby pins, tame with hairspray and hair pins.

1. Beanies!!!!
90% of the time when it rains, beanies are the way to go, especially to meet up with friends or go get some coffee. Plus it will keep any bangs you have from flying in the wind.

I hate award shows, they make me wish I was rich and had places to wear gowns.

The 40’s are on their way back in, but not in the way you’d expect. A softer, more romantic look is back in, less pin up. Head scarves, soft waves, loose pin curls are all making a return! I’m so excited! Think: Goldie Hawn in Swing Shift

I’ll be back later this week with some tutorials!!! I’m excited for this trend.

It’s pouring. I believe it’s time to lay around and listen to some Harry Belafonte.
I’ll be back later with more, but I’m enjoying this too much.

The price is a little scary. $25 for mascara is a lot, however I think it saves you money in the long run. I received a tube of this stuff from my make up artist at my wedding. I had been on a never ending search for the best mascara. I have rather oily eyes and because I’m around heat and moving all day, leaving any mascara smudged into dark circles under my eyes or just plain gone.
Enter: Blinc Mascara

What makes Blinc different than your standard Maybelline is that it’s made out of acrylic that will tube your lashes and adhere. It won’t come off until the lashes have been fully saturated with water and pressure has been applied. MEANING it will last all day, even after a trip to the gym! Trust me!
It says to replaces every 3 months, which I don’t do. I don’t share and because I have to apply fewer times, it’s lasted me 6 months already. And I intend to use it until I run out, I used to buy a tube of my drug store mascara about every 3-4 months and I was never happy with it.
You can buy Blinc at Sephora or online at their website. I want to try the lash curler.
