Scarlett Johansson’s New Bob

It looks like everyone is jumping on the same bandwagon! Scarlett Johansson’s bob, cut by Oribe, is subtle, sexy and manages to be retro and yet modern all at the same time.  Though her hair is very straight, Oribe added texture by letting it air dry and adding a bit of texturizing spray (I’m sure he used Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray but you can use Bb. Surf Spray), he then curled the mid shaft and left the roots and ends straight….and viola!

I like it. She looks glowy and pretty, not painfully awkward and miserable. Maybe it’s the dress or the fact that she’s smiling in this photo, but I think it’s the hair and she looks hot.

Wedding Day Hairstyles

I’ve gone from super freaking busy to sitting around at home sick. So, therefore, Bang Bang gets a little more attention today because I’ve been neglecting her. My one year anniversary is on Saturday so in honor of that here are my favorite wedding day hairstyles. I personally wore my hair down because my dress was slightly to fancy for the venue and it really balanced it out.

Beach Worthy Waves

Summer often does quite a number on your tresses. Use a conditioning masque to give you hair the extra TLC it needs. I like using Bb. Creme De Coco Masque because it smells like heaven. Towel dry and apply a thermal protector such as Nectar Thermique from Kerestase.

Dry hair and make sure it is 100% dry. Use a 1.5 inch curling iron or bigger to curl entire head, being careful to use the same size sections as the iron. Run fingers through hair to relax the curl and spritz on a little Bb. Surf Spray to give it that beachy bed head look.

Yay for summer! Here are a couple of inspiring summer hair do’s.  To achieve these looks opt for the Bb. Surf Spray apply to towel dried hair and air dry or spray on dry hair for a “just rolled out of bed” look (in a good way).

Add a little zing to your blonde tresses by going for a strawberry blonde. If going all the way is too bold for you, try adding some color in through low lights.
