Maybe I’m obsessed, but it’s the perfect time of year for Coral! It goes so well with a tan and a tank top!
M.A.C. Vegas Volt Lipstick – Blot for a subtle look or layer with some lip gloss for an electric feel
Benefit Coralista Blush – Dust on cheeks for a flushed look
Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Polish in Destiny – Sheer and pretty!
I’m going to be frank. I grew up in a football house, so I’ve been to many MANY football parties and there’s nothing that kills the mood faster than a girl who comes waaaaay over dressed. Meaning, tons of make up, and an out of place skimpiness to her style.
So here is a mini guide to looking good while not over-doing it while attending this years superbowl party. Remember you are there for a reason, to watch a football game not to distract the boys from it, wait for the commercials for that.
Excuse the pic, the lighting in my house was ideal for photobooth.

Make Up: The best bet is to go with something natural, long pretty natural lashes and a pretty game day glow. You don’t want to actually look like you are wearing much make up, because game day is low key.
Start off with priming your face with a moisturizer. Hit under your eyes with some concealer, I used Bare Minerals Well Rested. Follow with foundation my fave is Urban Decay’s Surreal Skin Cream to Powder.
Use a shimmery nude to cover your lids, I used a combo of Bare Minerals Vanilla Sugar and Queen Phyllis. Line eyes with a thin line of black. Curl lashes and cover with mascara etc etc you know the deal.
I used a shimmery blush and finished off with a mineral powder. There is your basic face, if you’re a Colts fan you can incorporate Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liner in Deviant or for Saint’s fans can use it in Baked.
Hair: Go with a messy pony tail or some loose waves, nothing overdone. For a fun ponytail tease your crown and sides super big. Brush down and put inti a ponytail, letting your short layers fall around your face. and Voila. done in like 3 minutes.
I am a total nerd. I am obsessed with Glee, so usually they can do no worng in my eyes. However, my love of Glee has nothing to do with how awesome Lea Michele looked at the Peoples Choice Awards. I’m not biased, I swear.

To get this look:
1. Work a dime sized amount of gel into damp hair and blow dry. The point is to get hair to stay longer, if it looks like there is gel in your hair, it’s too much.
2. Create a diagonal side part that ends at your crown.
3. Using a 1 inch to 1.5 inch curling iron take large sections and start curling a little less than halfway down the length of the hair.
4. Run fingers through ends, finish with a shot if light weight hairspray and pull over one shoulder.
For make up:
Eyes: Line eyes and inner rim with a grey pencil like Phone Number from M.A.C.. Smudge slightly.
Cheeks: Use a peachy pink blush. I prefer Tarte Green Siren, however a powder blush like Vintage Peach from Bare Escentuals is just as good
Lips: Finish with a coraly lip color like Vegas Volt from M.A.C.
She always looks flawless.I’ve been working on this whole “flawless” skin thing and it ain’t easy. Drinking tons of water and moisturizing a ton. Especially my neck, I refuse to have neck sagging! Also I’ve been working more with highlighters. Well, kind of, more like pretty eyeshadow (Bare Escentuals Queen Phyllis) which look amazing when dabbed on the cheek and brow bones.

I’ve always been a huge fan of red, however this last year I became a fan of hot pink and fushias. Paired with the right eye it can look anyfrom sweet to edgy. The most compliments Iv’e ever gotten in a day has been when I was wearing fushia lipstick. Love it.
My faves:
MAC Show Orchid – Not available however Girl About Town is very similar
Urban Decay’s Jilted
Kat Von D’s Backstage Bambi

The perfect cat eye is something to covet. It’s versatile and always in style. There are two ways of approaching them, either with liquid liner or a shadow with a thin angled brush. Usually the latter is the way to go, however, I prefer liquid liner because I have oily eyelids and it keeps from creasing all day and is quicker to apply. Both tutorials below use brushes, however the principle is the same.

Here are two videos that I think are most helpful, one is more subtle and the other more dramatic
Check out Sarah Victor and Kandee Johnson, they are both amazing!
